It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to predict.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it's been a frustrating experience because it appeared my form was missing completely," said Healy.

"The possibility to play and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was out the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

So great is her will, she later said she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she afterwards confessed those injuries have postponed thoughts of retirement, this tournament is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as leader.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
